Whew

When I commenced this site, I advised I would take a break from X Tweeting as the day-to-day commentary on politics is best left to those who specialize in such-there are many fine conservative MAGA commentators about to deal with such.

However, the first months of the Trump administration have been such a whirlwind of activity, much of it groundbreaking in the assembling of a new administration of loyalists as opposed to the Establishment hacks that unfortunately composed many of Trump’s first administration, and the near overwhelming wave of Executive Orders and policy that have upended the traditional order-for the positive of course, that it would have been remiss not to address that on X.

Things appear to have settled down, to a degree at least that a return to long form commentary with its overarching view of events and policy, so that I can attempt to return to regular posting here on Substack. It would be foolhardy to believe that drama will not eventuate in current affairs so I will continue to Tweet as I deem necessary, but it is now possible to dip a tentative toe in the still waters, when can find a pool of such-hopefully!

Long view includes not only politics and its associated themes such as economics etc. but in my case the arts etc. It also includes philosophical ventures into the meaning of life and to recommence my work here such will be my first up column which I hope readers will indulge. It’s who I am and what I do so I hope you will stick around-I will attend to the political shortly!

Those who have been supporting my postings here on a subscription basis I appreciate that greatly and also appreciate your understanding that support here in the absence of activity is in reality support of my commentary on X. Those who do not currently give such support might be encouraged to do so in respect of encouraging new in-depth posts here, which in the great scheme of things are more important than the transient alarums of daily Trump doings and the activities of the MSM/Dembot enemy.
